Slope protection mesh is divided into active protection and passive protection.

Active protection system is a kind of flexible mesh with wire rope mesh mainly covering the slope or rock to limit the weathering, spalling or destruction of rock and soil on the slope and rock collapse, or to control the rock falling within a certain range of movement.

Passive protection consists of four main parts: wire rope net, ring net, fixing system, decompression ring and steel column. The connection combination of steel column and wire rope net constitutes an integral whole, which forms a surface protection for the protected area, thus preventing the falling of collapsed rock and soil body and playing a role of slope protection.
